Boogeyman ~ Tipsy Turvy Nails

In honor of Halloween, we have created a line of polish after my favorite scary movies. I love scary movies. Even the dumb ones. And, we thought this would be a cool line to introduce.

This first polish is Boogeyman. This is in honor of Michael Myers...the man who made Halloween a scary time for me...but in a good way. His costume was simple. Blue coveralls and an emotionless facemask with hair...brilliant. And, he was surprisingly quick...he always managed to take one step for the 8 or 9 of the person he was chasing. Makes sense, doesn't it?

And, Boogeyman is available in our Etsy store, Tipsy Turvy Nails

The polish has a light silver/blue base with blue matte hexes and regular shiny blue hexes, white and red hexes, silver holographic squares and a rainbow sparkle.

Here we go!

Different Dimension ~ Penny

This is the last polish in the Big Bang Theory Collection from Different Dimension. I am kind of sad that it was come to an end and there aren't more polished in this collection!!

This is Penny. She is a coppery base with copper and brown glitter and copper and brown hexes throughout. Very easy to apply...this is 2 coats with a topping of Seche Vite.

Zoya ~ Tori

I really can't say enough about all the Zoya polishes I ordered. And, since they were bought with recommendations from our readers, that makes them more special...so of you have great taste!!!

This little gem is Tori...Deep cool-toned berry red packed with pink duochrome shimmer and silver microglitter.

Love me some duochrome and microglitter. This polish just makes me smile :)

Zoya ~Angelina

What a beautiful brown! Angelina is gorgeous and rich and goes on like a dream. Zoya describes her as: Very dark and saturated vampy blackened chocolate brown creme.

This color will really go with anything!

Zoya ~ Michelle

OK, I may have found the best nail polish in all the world. Why you ask??

Well, it is named after me, and that makes it the best (at least in my little world!!)

This is Michelle. She is so pretty and pink!

Zoya describes me as: Deep, striking magenta pink with frosty violet-blue duochrome shimmer. Oh yeah...

Coppernicus ~ Tipsy Turvy Nails

Very proud to post this! This is one of the polishes in our very own nail polish line, Tipsy Turvy Nails.

This is Coppernicus - a copper base with tiny little orange and black hexes. There is also a little bit of holographic properties in it. The orange hexes are very subtle, but really catch in the light.

I hope this is the first on many kickass polishes that we can create!

Zoya ~ Zuza

I love this color! This would be a great one to put on in the dead of winter when everything is gray and dreary. Would immediately cheer me up!

Here is how Zoya describes it:  Deep, saturated, oceanic turquoise with gold and silver metallic shimmer and a foil-like finish. A beachy, colorful, foil-like shade with the perfect balance between blue and green. Yeah, I would agree :)

This went on like a dream...and it is so damn cheery!!

Finger Paints ~ Cop an Attitude

I love magnetic polish. It lets you do something creative to your nails without all the hassle of busting out glitter and 7 other colors of polish. I also love that you can get away with one coat...it's the prefect thing when you are in a hurry and have to make a polish change.

This is one that I got at Sally Beauty supply for a few bucks. I think it is a great color for fall.

Here it is with flash outside:

Zoya ~ Suri

I was very fortunate to get in o n the Zoya deal a few weeks. I had NO Zoya polish in my arsenal, so I could not wait to try it out. I went with many of your recommendations, and was super excited to get them and review them all.

First up is Suri. I actually asked my husband what he wanted me to wear, and he declared "Purple!" So, that is what we got :)

Beautiful color. Covered in two coats. Went on smooth with no trouble. I am so happy to have some of this polish now...it was well worth the wait.

It also reminded me a little of the purple shade from Orly Mysterious Curse. This doesn't have the color shifting properties that MC has, but it is the same shade of purple.

butter LONDON ~ Wallis

I scored on the Coterie deal and got 3 butter LONDON polish and a top coat for $11.00. I can tell you that prior to blogging, I NEVER would have spent $14.00 on a bottle of polish. But, I am now reconsidering that :)

Wallis is gorgeous. The site describes it as "A tarnished, metallic olive gold nail lacquer, as mysterious and regal as its namesake." I love it!!

Here it is outside with the flash on

And here it is with no flash:

Beautiful!

Multi polish manicure w/ nail stamping featuring Pretty and Polished - Priivate School

Okay so this one was a multi-step mani!  But it came out awesome!!

I had gotten a mini of Pretty & Polished's Private School and I have been dying to try it out!  I felt it needed a base color though so I didn't have to put on too many coats.  I chose China Glaze's Hook and Like from the Capitol Colors Collection inspired by The Hunger Games.

So here is today's line up...

I chose to do the little wine glass stamp on my ring finger.  Here is a close up of the stamp design.

Here is a close up of the Hook and Line by China Glaze...since I was only needed a slight base color I only did one coat.  It's really pretty.  :)

On to the Private School by Pretty & Polished.  This polish is amazing!  It's described as a gray creme with black and white hex glitters surrounded in a sea of sparkly red micro glitter.  I bought this at her Etsy store.  I think it was the red micro glitter that got me.  Here comes the photo bomb!!!

The back of the mini bottle so you can see the details.

One coat - no flash

One coat - with flash - see the red glitter???

Two coats - no flash

Two coats - with flash!

Then I added my wine glass - which was subtle since there was white hex - but I knew it was there and I loved it!!

All in all I loved this glitter polish.  I had good coverage.  I didn't need to place anything, it all fell in the right places.  :)

Zoya - Reece

So I got in my order of Zoya polishes!  So excited!  I was drawn to the duochrome ones, and so I started with Reece.  According to Zoya's website - they describe Reece as a Rose metallic duochrome.  A frosty hint of gold creates a unique "oil-slick" rose-gold.

Here she is!

I took two pictures - one with and without the flash because I wanted you to see the gold that was in the polish.

It's a beautiful mauve-rose color with a gold shimmer that is just stunning.

I liked the consistency too.  It was a thinner polish but covered well in the standard two coats.  Topped it off with some Seche Cite and voila!!!!

Hello Reece!!

Overall this is a gorgeous color that pictures do not do justice.

Different Dimension ~ Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty

I have been wanting to review this one for a long time. This is the 3rd polish of the Big Bang Theory Collection from Different Dimension. This polish misbehaved on me the first couple of times I tried it. It is pretty thick, and I didn't think I was skilled enough to put it on. Every time I did, I ended up taking it off in frustration.

So, I added some thinner and a couple more mixing balls. That seemed to do the trick:

From the Etsy listing, this polish is a creamy grey jelly base with tons of different sized white hex glitter, silver holographic glitter and grey glitter in different sizes.

This polish is not glitter heavy, and I think that is why I like it so much. Even though this polish almost defeated me, I kept on fighting it until I won :)

Orly - Glitz

So I was perusing the clearance at Sally's and came across a couple bottles of Orly.

I realized...I DON'T OWN ANY ORLY!!!

This must be rectified immediately.

So I picked up this little gem...

What a beautiful gold color!!
So in keeping with me flashy theme for my anniversary (which is today, Happy Anniversary, Todd) I decided to use this on my nails...

I ended up doing two coats - but let's be honest...it covered in one coat.  It is beautiful!!  A great color for fall and I picked it up for $2.79!!!

It looks good on short nails (since I had to trim mine after an unfortunate cleaning incident...I keep telling mu husband I need a maid - this way I won't paint my nails every other day...so far no luck...).

I would definitely see if Sally has this because it's really beautiful!!!!

Different Dimenision - Fifty Shades of Grey Collection - Red Room of Pain

So I was saving this one for a special occasion.  This Saturday my husband and I are celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary.  (I love you, Todd!)  I decided to overhaul the finger and toes and when thinking about our upcoming weekend away (just going to Denver, about an hour away) I decided to do red toenails.  Classic red.  Then I remembered the Red Room of Pain.

I debated putting it on my toes because I know what it takes to get glitter off of nails.  The foil wrapped around my piggies?!?!  Did I want to do that???  Would I rather choose Christian's Red Room of Pain than go through the process of removing glitter from my toes???

Obviously I went through with it.  Please excuse my overpainting on the toes.  As some of you know, it's work to get down there and get the too look pretty.  The look a tad dry, and there is some paint where it shouldn't be but it's all good!!

So I started with Essie's Jag-U-Are.  It's a gorgeous red shimmer.  Here it is and here are my toes...

It's a really nice red.

So I started with one coat of Red Room of Pain (WHICH I LOVE!!!)

I offered pretty good coverage from the get go.  But it wasn't ENOUGH sparkle.  We were planning on going to a fancy dinner so these toes needed to be Ah-MAZING!!!!

Coat two (sorry for the blurry photos...my iPhone doesn't take the greatest photos...that or it's user error).

I love them, and so does Todd.

Over all a great polish!!!  Only one more review to go in the collection.  More...

Which I have used but I forgot to photograph it...I know...silly me...
